67 Days with My Xiaomi SU7 – Real Talk

Post:Can’t believe it’s already been 67 days with my purple SU7, and I’ve clocked 3,975 km so far. I’ve got the standard version and do at least a 30-min commute every day, so here are some thoughts:

Range – Advertised at 700 km, but realistically I’m only getting about 480 km with AC on in city driving. Not terrible, but definitely not what the brochure says.

Size – At 4.9 meters long, this thing felt massive when I first got it. Coming from a tiny Honda Fit, I was literally shaking parking it during the first week. Thankfully the 360 cam + auto park makes life way easier now.

Wireless charging – Honestly kinda useless. My iPhone gets super hot and it charges painfully slow.

And here’s what I wanna ask you guys: how’s the driver-assist working for you? Do you actually trust Xiaomi’s AD system, or nah?

I’ve been driving my Xiaomi SU7 for almost three months now, with just over 5,000 km on the odometer, and overall I’m really impressed. First off, the design is a head-turner—my purple paint looks stunning in the sunlight and gets a ton of attention. Driving-wise, while it doesn’t have Tesla-level punch, acceleration is smooth and more than enough for daily use and highway overtakes. Range-wise, with AC on in the summer, I consistently get around 480 km in the city, which is honestly solid and not that far off from the advertised numbers. The infotainment system blew me away—super responsive, seamless phone integration, maps and music work flawlessly. I also rely on the auto-parking quite a bit, and it handles tight spots with ease. All in all, the value for money is excellent, and every commute in this car puts me in a good mood.

What I love most about the Xiaomi SU7 is its long-distance driving experience. As someone who often takes weekend road trips, I found the seats very supportive—yes, a bit firm, but surprisingly comfortable for hours of driving without fatigue. On the highway, the car feels stable and composed, no floatiness at all. The smart driving assist features are a huge help on long drives, especially lane-keeping and adaptive cruise control, which really reduce the stress. Range-wise, I recently drove from Guangzhou to Shenzhen with AC on and music playing, and I still had plenty of charge left. The infotainment layout is intuitive and easy to use, and the voice assistant actually works well. My friend’s first reaction when he sat in the car was how quiet it was inside—he said it was even quieter than his gas car. Overall, I’d highly recommend this car for anyone who enjoys road trips.

As someone who mainly uses the car for city commuting, I find the Xiaomi SU7 perfect for my needs. My daily round trip is about 40 km, so range anxiety isn’t an issue at all—I only need to charge once a week. Charging at home has been convenient; I installed a wall charger, and overnight it’s fully charged by morning. Driving-wise, the steering feels light yet stable, braking is linear, and overall it drives very naturally. The infotainment system is one of the best I’ve seen in a Chinese EV—crisp display, super responsive, and switching between navigation and music is seamless. I also really like the ambient lighting and interior design, which make night driving feel futuristic. Overall, it’s an excellent car for daily commuting and the occasional highway trip.

As a tech enthusiast, I pay special attention to the in-car system of the Xiaomi SU7, and I have to say I’m really impressed. The UI design and overall user experience are top-notch—it honestly feels like having a premium tablet built into the car. Navigation, music playback, and phone connectivity are all smooth and seamless. I use the voice assistant the most—XiaoAi has excellent recognition accuracy and can handle tasks like adjusting the AC, playing songs, or finding nearby charging stations with ease. The cabin’s noise insulation is also impressive; at low speeds you can barely hear the motor. In terms of space, my friends often ride in the back, and they’ve all commented on how roomy it feels with plenty of legroom. Overall, this car feels less like just transportation and more like a “smart companion” on wheels.

I’ve had my Xiaomi SU7 for just over two months now, mostly using it for commuting—around 50 km round trip each day. What I appreciate most is the comfort: the suspension is well-tuned, handling speed bumps without being harsh or too bouncy. The interior is clean and minimalistic, a design that doesn’t get tiring over time. The sound system exceeded my expectations—it feels great cruising with music on. For range, I usually drive in the city and get about 470 km, which is more than enough for my needs. Cabin noise levels are excellent too, much quieter compared to gas cars in the same class. A friend who rode with me once said it felt like sitting in a luxury car. Overall, the SU7 has turned my daily commute into something I actually enjoy.

The Xiaomi SU7 is my first EV, and honestly, I was worried about charging convenience at first, but it turned out to be no problem at all. There are several public charging stations near my place, and in just 30 minutes I can top up most of the battery. After driving around 4,000 km, I feel the handling is excellent—precise steering, responsive brakes. What surprised me most is the driver-assist system, especially on highways: adaptive cruise and lane-keeping are rock-solid, making long drives much less tiring. The infotainment is straightforward to use, and pairing with my iPhone is seamless—music and navigation switch without hiccups. Rear seat space is generous, and my family finds it very comfortable. Overall, this car has exceeded my expectations.

As a tech enthusiast, I chose the Xiaomi SU7 mainly for its smart features. After nearly three months of driving, what satisfies me the most is the integration between the car and my phone—almost no lag when answering calls or using navigation, everything just flows. In terms of power, while it’s not tuned for aggressive performance, acceleration is more than quick enough for everyday use and overtaking. The range has been more reliable than I expected, still giving me around 480 km even with AC on. The cabin feels spacious, with clever storage solutions, and the trunk is especially practical for road trips. The ride quality and noise insulation feel premium, making me think this car is a great value for the price.
